Size of Republican House majority to be decided by 9 remaining uncalled races

Republicans have secured a “trifecta of power” in Washington by retaining the House majority and electing John Thune as Senate majority leader. With nine uncalled House races, the final outcome of the 2024 election remains undecided, maintaining a balance of 218 seats for Republicans and 208 for Democrats. Close races include Alaska’s at-large district, California’s 9th and 13th Congressional Districts, as well as the 21st and 45th Congressional Districts.
