Siyajula celebrates community legends at gala dinner

Kwa-Thema – Siyajula hosted a gala dinner to celebrate local legends at Ndaba Tree and Kwa-Thema Hall, honoring 38 individuals for their contributions to the community. Poet Andile Mthembu delivered powerful lines, and artist Smanga Makhubu provided portraits to the honorees. Sensei Edward Mtshali shared insights on the history of Kwa-Thema and the challenges faced in growing the sport of karate, emphasizing the need for greater support for children in eKasi to succeed in sports.
