Six children die of hypothermia amid freezing conditions in Gaza

Six Palestinian infants have tragically died from hypothermia during a cold spell in Gaza, with newborns aged between one and two days among the victims, due to the lack of heating and shelter. The World Health Organization has also reported a significant increase in attacks on healthcare facilities in the occupied West Bank, with 694 incidents documented between April and December 2024, leading to a dire humanitarian crisis. Israeli forces have intensified military operations in the West Bank, resulting in the forced displacement of thousands of residents and the destruction of numerous homes, exacerbating the already dire situation in the region.
