A man who sexually assaulted and stalked women on trains and at stations has been sentenced to prison. Craig Anthony Anderson, 38, was found guilty of multiple counts of sexual assault and stalking, targeting lone women across London from June to October 2025. His offenses began at Bank Underground Station, where he approached a young woman, made unwanted advances, and sexually assaulted her. Over the following months, he continued to harass and assault several women, often following them after initiating conversations. Anderson was arrested in October 2025 and received a sentence of one year and 10 months, along with a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order to prevent future offenses.

Why It Matters

This case highlights the ongoing issue of violence against women in public spaces, especially in urban environments like London. According to the British Transport Police, incidents of sexual offenses on public transport have been a growing concern, prompting campaigns to raise awareness and enhance safety measures. The sentencing of Anderson serves as a reminder of the legal repercussions for such predatory behavior, reinforcing the need for vigilance and protective measures in public transport systems. Additionally, the prevalence of stalking and harassment underscores the importance of community support and reporting mechanisms for victims.
