Serial pedophile will be castrated after trying to rape seven-year-old girl

Thomas Allen McCartney, a 37-year-old Louisiana man, pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree rape of a seven-year-old girl and agreed to undergo physical and chemical castration as part of a plea deal, in addition to serving 40 years in prison. Classified as a Tier Three sex offender, McCartney has a history of similar offenses, including previous convictions for aggravated rape.
