Senegal PM criticizes Morocco’s fans’ jailing after AFCON final

Morocco sentenced 18 Senegalese football fans following disturbances at the Africa Cup of Nations final in Rabat. The fans were arrested during the match on January 19 and charged with hooliganism and violence against security officials. Senegal’s Prime Minister denounced the jailing, and the country will seek a royal pardon for the fans sentenced.
