Are secondary students in Singapore using AI to do their assignments? More than you think

SINGAPORE: A local survey reveals that all secondary school students surveyed use AI tools for homework, with 84% using them weekly. The survey, part of CNA’s Talking Point, involved 500 students aged 15-25 and found that 86% use AI mainly for generating ideas, with secondary students frequently using it for math problems and grammar checking. These findings indicate a significant prevalence of AI use among students compared to previous estimates.
