The search for 28-year-old British professional surfer Arran Strong, who went missing while paddleboarding off Arrifana beach in Portugal, has resumed. Strong disappeared on Monday morning after becoming separated from his board approximately one mile offshore during a long-distance paddleboarding session. Rescue operations, involving the Portuguese coastguard, maritime police, and an Air Force aircraft, began shortly after the alarm was raised at around 11:30 AM but were suspended overnight. His close friend and fellow paddleboarder, Jose Maria Pyrrait, described the harrowing moment he discovered Arran’s board drifting alone and recounted their last moments together.
