Scott Bakula may reprise his role as Captain Jonathan Archer in a new series titled Star Trek: United, which aims to depict his later years as President of Earth and explore political drama in the formative years of the Federation. This concept, developed by former Enterprise writer Michael Sussman, was inspired by Archer’s career trajectory and has received initial interest from franchise overseer Alex Kurtzman amidst the uncertain future of Star Trek.
