A Scottish social care worker was struck off by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for smoking cannabis with a vulnerable resident and forming an inappropriate relationship with them. The worker breached professional boundaries by sending repeated messages and visiting the resident outside of scheduled care hours. The behavior was deemed highly serious and led to the worker’s fitness to practice being impaired, resulting in a striking-off order effective February 15.
