Concerned parents in Kwa-Thema schools dismissed learners due to prolonged lack of electricity, affecting schools like Zimisele, Nkabinde, and Tlakula. Protests were staged at the Customer Care Centre on Monday, with parents demanding a resolution to the situation that has led to disruptions in assessments and administrative work. The CoE disconnected electricity due to non-payment, with the Gauteng Department of Education yet to comment on the matter.
