Members of the SCDF team that assisted in Myanmar after a 7.7-magnitude earthquake returned to a warm welcome at Changi Airport, having rescued a man, treated numerous patients, and provided aid to local authorities. The team faced challenges but received support from the resilient Myanmar community, ultimately handing over responsibilities to other international teams as needs evolved. Home Affairs Minister Shanmugam commended the team for their sacrifices and lifesaving efforts in a risky environment.
