According to CEO Alexandr Wang, Scale AI has led China in artificial intelligence for a decade, but DeepSeek, a Chinese AI lab, released groundbreaking models on Christmas Day that rival top American models like OpenAI’s o1. Wang describes the U.S.-China AI competition as an “AI war,” noting that China has more Nvidia H100 GPUs than expected due to export controls. He predicts the AI sector will reach $1 trillion in revenue, aligning with projections for the generative AI market.
