Saudi coalition strikes Yemen port over unauthorized weapons shipment.

The Saudi-led coalition carried out a targeted strike at Yemen’s Mukalla port, accusing foreign-backed vessels of delivering weapons to southern separatists, leading to a limited military operation by coalition air forces. The operation targeted unloaded weapons and vehicles, with coalition spokesperson Turki al-Malki stating that two ships had entered the port without authorisation and unloaded weapons to support the STC. The strike resulted in no casualties or collateral damage, and tensions have escalated following an offensive by the STC against Yemeni government troops. Saudi Defence Minister Khalid bin Salman Al Saud called for the STC troops to hand over regional governorates to the government, while the US Secretary of State urged restraint and continued diplomacy.
