Australia avoids Paralympic boycott against Russia through specific regulations

Australia will participate in the Winter Paralympics opening ceremony despite a boycott by Ukraine and seven other countries protesting Russia’s involvement. The International Paralympic Committee has invited Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete, marking the return of the Russian flag since the 2014 Sochi Games. While Australia’s team will march, their attendance may be limited due to travel distance from their base in the Dolomites to Verona.
