Various countries such as Algeria, Egypt, Iran, and Indonesia have also confirmed the start of Ramadan, with different dates for the first day of fasting. Observing the Ramadan fast is a fundamental practice in Islam, involving abstaining from food, drink, smoking, and sexual activity during daylight hours, as well as promoting charitable acts towards the less fortunate.
