This project is part of Neom, a futuristic development envisioned by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to diversify the economy and create new industries, with an estimated cost of up to $1.5 trillion. Despite recent changes in spending priorities due to a growing deficit and low oil prices, the ambitious plans for Neom and other megaprojects continue to shape Saudi Arabia’s future.
