Six Dead in Sarasota and Fort Lauderdale; Murders Linked

In Florida, a cross-state murder spree left six people dead, including the suspect, Russell Kot, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The rampage began in Fort Lauderdale, where two victims, Larisa Blyudaya and Ben Azivov, were found, and ended in Sarasota County, where four additional victims were discovered. The victims ranged in age from 39 to 66, and investigators believe Kot had a romantic relationship with one of the Fort Lauderdale victims, while the motive for the others remains unclear. Authorities confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public as all persons involved have been accounted for.
