An arrest has been made by Victorian police in the case of missing mum Samantha Murphy, who disappeared after going for a jog over a month ago.
According to a police statement on Thursday morning, detectives from the missing persons squad apprehended a 22-year-old man from Ballarat early on Wednesday.
The man is currently in police custody but has not yet been formally charged.
Ms Murphy went missing on Sunday, February 4th after leaving her home in Ballarat East at 7am.
Despite extensive searches in the nearby Canadian Forest area, the 51-year-old has not been located.
A police spokeswoman stated that the investigation is still ongoing.
