Former Palestinian international player Suleiman Al-Obeid was killed by an Israeli attack on aid seekers in Gaza on Wednesday.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah criticized UEFA for their tribute to Al-Obeid, questioning their failure to mention the circumstances of his death during an Israeli attack on civilians. Al-Obeid, known as the “Palestinian Pele,” was among over 1,000 people killed near aid distribution sites in Gaza since late May.
