Russian hackers have stolen hundreds of Ministry of Defence emails and passwords, which were posted on the dark web. Nearly 600 UK armed personnel, MoD civil servants, and defense contractors had their login-ins stolen since 2020, prompting a major security breach investigation by the MoD. The stolen data includes email addresses and login information for the MoD’s Defense Gateway portal, posing a significant security risk for personnel based both in the UK and overseas.
