Comedian Artemy Ostanin was sentenced to nearly six years in prison for jokes deemed offensive, highlighting the oppressive climate for comedians post-Ukraine war. Many artists now self-censor due to fear of repercussions, with some even fleeing the country. This crackdown has drastically changed the once vibrant stand-up scene in Russia.
