Russia and Ukraine launch aerial attacks amid proposed ceasefire talks

In a heavy aerial exchange, Russia and Ukraine reported more than 100 enemy drones over their territories, leading to a fire near a Lukoil oil refinery in Volgograd. Russia claimed to have shot down 126 Ukrainian drones, while Ukraine’s air force said Russia launched 178 drones, with 130 shot down. The attack followed a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff to discuss a proposed 30-day ceasefire in the ongoing war with Ukraine.
