Ruben Amorim takes the reins as Manchester United coach

Ruben Amorim has been appointed as Manchester United’s new head coach, taking over from Erik ten Hag on November 11 following the team’s poor start to the season. The highly-rated Sporting Lisbon head coach signed a deal until June 2027 with the option for an additional year, and will start working with the Red Devils after overseeing his current team’s matches. Amorim’s track record and suitability to United’s new football structure made him the club’s first choice, with negotiations successfully reducing his release clause and notice period.
