RTA runs 5 government innovation labs on artificial intelligence, circular economy, and traffic safety – UAE

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) organized 5 innovation labs at its Mobility Research and Innovation Centre at the University of Birmingham in Dubai during the second half of 2023. The labs covered activities related to the Traffic and Roads Agency, Rail Agency, Corporate Administrative Support Services sector, Public Transport Agency, and Corporate Technology Support Services Sector.

The Traffic and Roads Agency lab focused on enhancing traffic safety for motorcycle delivery services, bicycle and e-scooter users, and pedestrians. The Rail Agency lab aimed to introduce proactive services using artificial intelligence technologies for asset sustainability and operational efficiencies.

The Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector lab highlighted RTA’s efforts in recycling, installing green chargers, and implementing sustainable practices. The Public Transport Agency lab brainstormed solutions for bus schedule adherence, school bus timings, fine collection, and asset management.

The Corporate Technology Support Services Sector lab aimed to enhance nol card services through innovation and development in ticketing, payments, and digital banking features. Follow Emirates 24|7 on Google News for more updates.
