Royal Mail is rolling out new solar-powered postboxes across the UK, which can accept small parcels and letters, but traditional knitted toppers will block their solar panels. These postboxes aim to provide a convenient drop-off point for parcels, reducing the need to queue at post offices. While the design resembles traditional boxes, some users find them intimidating, especially regarding their functionality. Royal Mail states this is their most significant design change in 175 years, enhancing accessibility with 115,000 postboxes located near homes.
