A Grammy-nominated musician, Roderick Macleod, 70, was killed in Rhode Island after being struck by a car driven by 41-year-old Shannon Godbout, who has a history of over 100 arrests and numerous traffic violations. Macleod, a former member of Roomful of Blues, was walking his dogs when he was hit; he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Godbout, allegedly under the influence of narcotics, has been charged with driving to endanger and possession with intent to distribute, with additional charges pending.
