Roblox has launched an open-source AI model with a new toolset that allows users to create interactive 3D objects, referred to as “4D,” through prompts. Currently in beta, the tool offers limited templates for creating cars and solid objects, with the cars being fully drivable and made of separate, independently functioning parts. The company plans to enable creators to design their own templates and is developing technology to generate 3D models from reference images. This release follows recent scrutiny over safety features on the platform.
