Rita Saffioti forced to defend safety of new C-series trains after drivers raised concerns

Labor is defending the safety of the new C-series railcars after a survey revealed that nearly 80% of train drivers expressed concerns about the trains’ brakes, speed controls, and other issues, calling for their removal from service. Transport Minister Rita Saffioti stated that the government is addressing these concerns with drivers and the Rail, Tram and Bus Union, asserting that the trains are safe.
