Newsmax has paid $27m so far, and will pay $20m in 2026 and $20m in 2027 to technology firm Dominion Voting Systems.

Newsmax has agreed to a $67m settlement with Dominion Voting Systems over defamation claims related to false allegations about the 2020 election, with $27m paid so far and $40m scheduled for 2026 and 2027. Despite asserting its reporting was fair, internal communications revealed the network’s awareness of the baseless nature of Trump’s fraud claims.
