Right-hander Jack Flaherty returns to Tigers on 2-year, $35 million deal after World Series win with Dodgers

Jack Flaherty, who was critical in the Dodgers’ World Series run last summer, has signed a two-year, $35 million deal with the Detroit Tigers, including an opt-out after the first season. Flaherty improved significantly last season, posting a 3.17 ERA and helping the Tigers make the playoffs before being traded to the Dodgers. He will now join Tarik Skubal in the Tigers’ rotation as they aim for another postseason appearance.
