Former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle and six others perished in a plane crash at Statesville Regional Airport in North Carolina. The private jet, registered to a company owned by Biffle, crashed while attempting to land after taking off earlier that day. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the incident. Biffle, a celebrated racer with over 50 NASCAR wins, was reportedly traveling with family members.
