Former Director General of Police Shesh Paul Vaid, along with a group of retired officials, wrote to PM Narendra Modi urging action on the unjust arrest of ISKON monk Chinmoy Krishna Das in Bangladesh and the atrocities against Hindus. The letter highlighted the increasing violence and persecution faced by the Hindu minority in Bangladesh, calling for immediate intervention from India to protect the rights and safety of Hindus. Despite India stating that it will not raise the issue with Bangladesh, the former DGP stressed the moral responsibility to address the dire situation and ensure the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh.
