Fashion retailer Jeanswest will close all brick-and-mortar stores and cut hundreds of jobs as its parent company enters administration, with administrators from Pitcher Partners Melbourne appointed to restructure the business. While the fate of the brand’s online store remains uncertain, the company’s 146 physical stores will be shuttered, impacting more than 600 employees. The decision to close the stores was made due to challenging market conditions, with plans to sell off all remaining stock to partially repay creditors.
