Rescuers search for a girl missing after a migrant boat sank near Greek island

Greece’s coast guard is still searching for a missing child after a rubber dinghy carrying migrants sank off an eastern island near the Turkish coast, resulting in seven deaths and 23 rescues. Survivors mentioned there were 31 people aboard the dinghy, with one individual arrested for suspected migrant smuggling. In a separate incident, Turkish authorities reported a boat sinking with nine fatalities, one missing person, and 25 rescued, highlighting the dangers faced by migrants crossing from Turkey to Greek islands.
