An outreach center for the Republican minority in Georgia has been shut down and transformed into a sex shop by its new owners.
The closed-down center on Peachtree Industrial Blvd in Norcross, Georgia, previously used by the GOP to connect with Hispanic voters, has now been replaced by an Adam and Eve adult store, as reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The venue, once used for community events to increase voter turnout among traditionally Democratic demographics, now serves a completely different purpose.
Adam and Eve was contacted by Newsweek for clarification through their website’s contact form. This space was one of several Republican National Committee (RNC) outreach centers that have closed down recently, including two others in the Atlanta suburbs.

Another RNC outreach center in Suwanee, Georgia, has been replaced by a dental office, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Most of the RNC’s Hispanic outreach centers closed in January this year, with one in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, becoming an ice cream shop, as reported by Heartland Signal.
Chris LaCivita, the RNC’s chief of staff, commented on the closures to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, stating, “With an operation fueled by hundreds of thousands of small dollar donors and energized supporters and without sharing our strategy with Democrats through the media, we have the message, the operation, and the money to propel President Trump to victory on November 5.”
Newsweek has reached out to the Georgia RNC for further comment via email.
The Republican Party has made significant investments in swing states like Georgia to secure non-white votes after making slight gains among Hispanic voters in 2020.
During the opening of a center in Georgia, former RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel stated, “This is not us saying, ‘we expect your vote, you owe us your vote. This is us saying, ‘we want to earn your vote. We want to learn how we can better represent your community, how we can be here long-term.”
She has since been replaced by Michael Whatley, who currently leads the RNC alongside Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of 2024 presidential election candidate Donald Trump.
Despite efforts to connect with minorities, the Republicans did not see any additional gains among targeted demographics in the 2022 midterms, according to a report from Equis, a political non-profit focusing on the betterment of Lantinx people.
In a statement reported by the New York Times in March, Whatley mentioned, “We are currently evaluating every aspect of political and community engagement in order to align our operations with President Trump’s campaign.”
“We have seen very positive impacts from our community engagement centers and intend to continue to utilize them to build support for President Trump and Republican candidates across the country,” he added.
