Reports: Lions add edge rusher Za’Darius Smith in trade with Browns

The Detroit Lions are acquiring three-time Pro Bowl defensive end Za’Darius Smith from the Cleveland Browns before the NFL trade deadline, along with a seventh-round pick in 2026. In exchange, the Browns receive a fifth-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft and a sixth-round pick in 2026. Smith, 32, has recorded five sacks and 23 tackles in nine games this season, and has a career total of 65 sacks, 321 tackles, and 10 forced fumbles in 132 games with various teams.
