Renderings of Northwestern University’s $850M Ryan Field released – NBC Chicago

Northwestern University unveiled renderings of its new $850 million stadium, set to be completed in 2026, which will serve as the home of the football program and host various events. The venue will feature 35,000 seats with optimal sightlines, 200,000 square feet of surrounding parks and plazas, and four premium clubs, designed to enhance the community’s connection to sports. Despite concerns over noise, the Evanston City Council approved the project, which will not rely on public funding, allowing for the construction of the new stadium after the Wildcats complete the current and next seasons in a temporary lakefront venue.
