Barnsley Remembrance Day Poppy Display Approved After Council Dispute

A poppy display in Barnsley, initially canceled due to new council guidelines restricting where poppies could be placed, will now proceed after discussions between the Hoyland Remembrance and Parade Group (HRPG) and the council. HRPG expressed relief at resolving the issue, allowing them to honor fallen soldiers with 350 wooden poppies displayed around the town.
