Australia’s beef production reached a record high in April, with exports rising 21% year-on-year to 127,172 tonnes, despite US tariffs mentioned by President Trump. Notably, exports to the US increased by 37% to 37,213 tonnes, while grain-fed beef exports surged by 27%, particularly to China. The Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) anticipates continued strong sales in 2025, with a projected 1% increase in beef exports, although sheepmeat and goatmeat exports saw declines.
