The total lunar eclipse, also known as the “blood moon,” occurred in March, with the moon turning reddish-orange for about an hour starting at 1:26 a.m. CT Friday. The next opportunity to see a total lunar eclipse will be on Sept. 7, sweeping across parts of Asia, Africa, Australia, and Europe, with the Americas getting their next chance in March 2026.
