LATEST ON VICTORIAN BUSHFIRE SITUATION:
As of Thursday afternoon, Victoria is facing 11 major bushfires, with 10 watch-and-act warnings and 17 advice messages issued. Over 410,000 hectares have burned, resulting in nearly 900 structures, including 259 homes, being destroyed or significantly damaged. The Longwood fire has caused the most damage, affecting 442 outbuildings and 173 homes. Storms are expected to bring rainfall and winds, while $82 million in funding has been allocated for infrastructure repairs.
