‘Railway attack’: Russian security services arrest man
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Russia’s Federal Security Service arrested a 61-year-old Russian man for planning a “terrorist attack” on a railway junction in the Ural mountains Sverdlovsk region, on behalf of Ukraine, as reported by TASS. The man was recruited by Kyiv’s intelligence in Lviv, Ukraine, and sent to Russia. He has confessed to the charges and is cooperating with the investigation. Ukraine has recently increased attacks on economic sites in Russia, using drones to target oil refineries in the west. Kyiv has also mentioned targeting the Trans-Siberian railway, an important route for Russian freight. (With inputs from agencies)
