Raiders Hire Former Assistant as Defensive Line Coach

Travis Smith returns to the Raiders as their defensive line coach after a decade-long coaching career with the team, which included stints under five head coaches and two cities. Previously, he spent two seasons with the Chicago Bears, where his defensive line led the NFL in fewest rushing yards allowed in 2022. He also served as the defensive run game coordinator for the Tennessee Titans last season. Smith’s return follows a departure after the 2021 season when he accepted a promotion with the Bears.
