RAF deafened me with noisy aircraft and gunfire, claims elite trooper

Alastair Bidwell, a former elite RAF trooper, is seeking up to £100,000 in damages from the MoD due to tinnitus and hearing loss caused by exposure to high levels of noise during his service. Despite being issued with minimal ear protection, he was consistently exposed to loud aircraft and gunfire, resulting in significant hearing impairment that affects his daily life. The MoD is requesting a stay on the case pending the outcome of similar test cases related to hearing loss in the High Court later this year.
