Emergency services respond to chemical leak in Levin

Nineteen individuals are being assessed following a chemical incident in the industrial area of Levin, North Island. Fire and Emergency New Zealand dispatched three trucks from Levin and Ōtaki, along with specialist crews from Palmerston North, to respond to the situation on Hamaria Rd. The incident was reported around 6:30 PM and escalated to a second alarm upon arrival. Crews are currently isolating the leak, and there is no immediate risk to the public.
