Auckland temperatures expected to reach 6C with snow warnings

Unseasonably cold temperatures are expected across much of the North Island, with Auckland dropping to 6°C overnight on Friday and Hamilton potentially reaching freezing. While early rain is forecasted for Auckland and Waikato, sunny weather is anticipated later, accompanied by road snowfall warnings in several regions including Desert Rd and Lewis Pass.
