Antarctic Cold Snap Causes Freezing Conditions in New Zealand

A cold snap from Antarctica is set to impact much of New Zealand, bringing freezing temperatures, snow, and strong winds as a southerly front moves up the country. MetService has issued strong wind watches for Otago, Fiordland, Southland, and the Canterbury high country, with wet and windy conditions expected across the South Island.
