During a Wednesday night fundraiser in San Francisco, Biden expressed his concerns about nuclear conflict, especially with individuals like Putin, stating that the real threat to humanity is climate change.
Putin, in response to Biden’s comments, mentioned in a Thursday interview that he doesn’t expect any praise from Biden and finds his reaction appropriate.
When asked about what is best for Russia, Putin, with a smile, mentioned that he has previously stated that Biden is the preferred choice.
In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, Putin mentioned that he couldn’t recall the last time he spoke with Biden, speculating that it was before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
While Putin had a personal relationship with Biden’s predecessor, Donald Trump, he stated in another interview that he found Biden, as an old-school politician, more suitable for Russia.
Biden has openly criticized Putin in the past, even going as far as calling him a killer in 2021, to which Putin responded by saying, “It takes one to know one.”
