Review of Pullman Cape Town City Centre
Cape Town, consistently ranked as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, is known for its stunning natural surroundings, diverse cultures, rich history, and mix of architectural styles. From Dutch colonial buildings to modern skyscrapers, the city reflects a complex past and vibrant present. In addition to its beauty, Cape Town hosts numerous exciting events throughout the year.
During a recent spontaneous trip to the city, we needed centrally located luxury accommodation. With many hotels fully booked due to the popular Cape Town Cycle Tour, we were fortunate to secure a reservation at the 5-star Pullman Cape Town City Centre. This allowed us to experience one of the newest hotels in Cape Town.
Pullman Hotels and Resorts, part of the AccorHotels group, is a prestigious brand known for catering to both business and leisure travelers worldwide. The Pullman Cape Town City Centre, formerly a Radisson Blu Hotel, was rebranded in September 2023 when Accor acquired it. It is the first Pullman property in South Africa and is housed in the architecturally acclaimed Triangle House, a 104-meter tall skyscraper designed to ensure natural light and fresh air in all rooms.
Our family stayed in a spacious 2-bedroom suite with modern marine-themed decor. The rooms featured king-size beds, a mini-bar, high-speed Wi-Fi, large flat-screen TVs, and coffee machines. Customizable lighting and temperature settings enhanced our stay, and the rooms offered views of the cityscape, sea, and mountains.
Breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant offered a variety of options, including specialty breads, pastries, fruits, and made-to-order eggs. The hotel also has a Pool Bar and Sea Street Coffee Lounge for lighter meals. For dinner, guests can dine at the elegant Piano Lounge, which features a self-playing piano.
The hotel’s central location makes it a great base for exploring Cape Town’s attractions, from the bustling city center to the beaches, Bo-Kaap, and more. A complimentary shuttle service to the V&A Waterfront is provided, and business travelers will appreciate the proximity to the Cape Town International Convention Centre. The hotel also offers versatile meeting spaces for business events.
After a day of sightseeing or work, guests can relax at the gym with panoramic views or on the pool deck as the sun sets over the city. For more information or to book a stay, visit Pullman Cape Town City Centre’s website.
